Get. Married. Here.

What makes a great hotel for getting ready? Obvious answers such as proximity to your venue aside, there are a couple of boxes that , when checked, turn your wedding morning into a wow.
For myself, its a good window. Hotels are designed for sleeping so natural light is not on the agenda for most architects and designers. However, for makeup artists and photographers who rely on natural light for the very best results, its an absolute must have.
Not only are the windows at The Dixon enormous, if you are lucky enough to get just the right suite, they boast unparalleled views of Tower Bridge.
Speaking of Tower Bridge, it is within just a few minutes walk away , so if you are lucky enough to get married on a sunny day, what better backdrop for your London based wedding could you imagine?
The next must have is some beautiful areas for you to take your bridal portraits. I learnt this the hard way, when my own bridal portraits came back with me standing on orange swirly carpet next to some raffia storage boxes. Yuck! The Dixon boats modern contemporary rooms , quirky art pieces, and a grand lobby with the most beautiful staircase where you can show off your veil and gown in its full glory.
Finally ….. complimentary chocolate! Forget the After Eight on your pillow, they go the whole way and gift you an entire branded bar. Heaven.
As someone who spends a LOT of time in hotels, I cant help but having my favorites. This shoot was a collaboration with some of my favorite suppliers, and really was just about making the most of this amazing space. It really is a glorious location for all things bridal.
