Photographed by Liza Heinrichs for Volup2 Magazine

Sometime, casting a styled shoot can be just as simple as asking your friends “who wants to play bride for the day with me?”
A fun shoot at The Hilton Hyde Park soon became more meaningful when we realised the power of shooting bridal images with a model who has a visible difference.
Volup2 magazine is a online publication which has championed representation and true diversity long before it was fashionable. It was on an editorial photoshoot for Volup2 where I first met Tulsi, who was modelling the most incredible hats from Ugly Lovely- unique pieces of wearable art made from taxidermized animals, beetles and feathers.
Earlier this year, Volup2 published some images from our bridal shoot alongside a powerful editorial piece written by Tulsi , speaking about her experiences as a person with a visible difference.
Tulsi is a Pilates rehabilitation specialist, life coach and motivational speaker and you can find out more about her, her life and other such things here
